Are you friends with any local craft brewers? Our homebrew club meets at a LHBS and a couple of the guys own a brewery (just happens to be next door). Along with the club members, these guys definitely give some good advice and feedback.

You might consider brewing smaller batches and entering heavily in competitions. May adjust your set up to a 2 or 3 gallon batch.
