Doesn't VLC still need the stream from the Abacast widget?

Tell me you guys aren't streaming from some magic URL.

I'm not sure how it works Code, but I don't have either Abacast or Winamp installed on my PC, just Firefox and VLC.

When I click on the listen button, Firefox asks me how I want to open thebrewingnetwork-sc-56.pls. VLC is the default program for that file type and just starts playing the stream. It's pretty cool, and works great.

Hmmm, funny. All of a sudden VLC is demanding a password, which I don't know, to play the stream, which I now can't.

So Code, is this just some coincidence, or am I finally gonna have to download Abacast and Winamp?

Damn, I'm keep telling myself to shut the fuck up, but I will never learn...

I deleted Abacast and Winamp and now only have VLC installed and when I click on the "Broadband" button I still get the top 1/3 of my screen yelling at me to upgrade my abacast and cannot get the stream to play.

Luckily for me I've listened to the stream for more hours than I can count and they, for the most part, just keep repeating the same shows so I've heard them all a dozen times. I also figure that "other show" is dead and I only work one friday a month so if it does come back, there's a good chance I'll be at home anyways.

At this point, I've just given up. I'm sure it's our IT guys that are causing the problems and I don't feel like calling them and saying "hey, I can't listen to my beer podcasts anymore, can you help me out?"

OK, can't argue with Brewer's Oath.

I think the stream is down, the iPhone app is down as well.
