I can't stop laughing. This of how this research grant was written up. " Ah, yes, I'd like to ram a tube into this cow, attach a ridiculous plastic tank to it, and analyze it's farts..."

The Fool

No mention in the article that these are "good" emissions as the cows are generating gas from a renewable resource (that is recently fixated carbon - grass grown this year or last). Is it only prehistoric carbon (oil, coal, natural gas) that creates "bad" emissions from what I understand from the AGW crowd. And the bag is capturing a potential source of biofuel - just think what 55 million Argentinian cows could create if all could be stored!

Yup, Global Warming may not be as a concrete science as previously thought Al Gore.

The Fool

No one who has seen the studies already thought it was. Technically the whole world has been steadily heating since the ice age 10000 years ago. Plus, even by 2002 all estimates of heating were falling dramatically short (the most conservative was 0.1 degrees centigrade per decade).

However jake gyllenhall and marky mark got some really really crappy blockbuster movies made on this bad science.

Even if he didn't get the shaft down in FL, he's at the least a moron for letting it be that close. And then, he though that losing to Dubyah qualified him to be a climate scientist? It's a frightening hypefest, and what's worse is that some of my fellow science teachers are brainwashed by this garbage. Keynote speech = Nobel Peace Prize? What a scam.

The best way to tell who is a giant idiot, is to see who wins the nobel peace prize. They pick the least deserving person and give it to them. Note the prize went to "Al Gore and an international tem of scientists" so the scientists who actually made it their life's work weren't recognized by name, but a guy who narrated a movie was.

Actually, I believe the award was for being not GWB. He spent his whole life not being W. His first two months in office only confirmed that.

Also he brought peace to the world, ended partisan politics in the US, used quiet persistence to stop nuclear proliferation in Iran and N. Korea, and finally provided cheap universal healthcare to Americans without making the process substantially more expensive and somehow managing to pay the doctors even less. Or the opposite of that.

Reminds me of the pavement roller scene at the airport at the end of "A Fish Called Wanda".
when Keven Kline says "Gonna KKKKKKKKill me KKKKKKKKen?"

If that dozer has steel tracks you could mess up a lot a pavement that way.
I beleive the only thing you can still receive the death penalty for in Germany is intentionally damaging the Autobahn.

My god...I can't stop laughing. I passed it on to a colleague that did not find it as cool as me. Being the youngest guy in an all female office can suck sometimes. I know some of my friends would appreciate that.
