Pelican Brewing "Maibock" - Wow. Their Scottish ale and this one are wonderful.

Sam Adams Rebel IPA. Meh. Not great, but I've had plenty worse. I am kinda curious on what their ale strain is though. I've been noticing a common thread, house flavor if you will, in their ales that I'm not all that excited about. It's pretty subtle in the background, so maybe it's the fermentation schedule instead of the strain itself? Not really sure.

Agreed. All of their ales have that distinct Sam Adams flavor going on that I find to be slightly distracting and lackluster.

Homebrewed Belgian Dark Strong, fresh kolsch, and 8 mos old flanders red. Yummmmmm.....

The only one that I really care for is their Noble Pils. The ales aren't bad, per se; I'd definitely give pretty much any new one a try... there's just not many that I would buy a second time unless they were on a decent sale.

Their beers that they sell in 4 packs are pretty good, like doppelbock and I think russian imperial stout, and the ones they have those funky looking 750ml bottles like the belgians are awesome.
