A funny dialogue happened the other day, and I thought I would share.
A young black gangster-type inmate approached our pod corrections officer. The officer of the day’s name is Jim. Jim is an ex-Navy seaman. He was in the service for 26 years and he is one snarky SOB.
LaRoyal, the inmate, walked up to Jim’s desk and started in on the most profound conversation that I think I have ever heard.
“I believe in Wednesday, Jim!†LaRoyal exclaimed.
Looking a bit confused, Jim said, “Well, LaRoyal, I believe in Wednesday, too. It’s comes once a week without fail. It is something that you can count on.â€
LaRoyal looked at him like the dog on the RCA logo- completely confused and said,â€Na, Jim! I BE LEAVIN’ Wednesday!â€
I almost fell out of my chair on the one. I still chuckle out loud when I think of it!
