Isaac's a DICK...

Mon Aug 27, 2012 4:56 pm

I know we've got some BN brothers and sisters in the Gulf Coast region.... thought I'd open a thread here as a place for dialog if Isaac ends up fucking their shit up. If you are affected by this upcoming storm, and have access to lines of communication, feel free to post here to let us know you are OK. Cheers, good luck, and hope you've got homebrew on hand.

I know that Whitebeard is in Biloxi.
Back during Katrina, his house was completely gone, wiped clean down to the concrete.
I'm praying he fares a lot better this time around.

Hang in there, brother!

I'm here....fighting the fight. Got released from work this morning, to come home and ride this bastard out. After I got home, the wife and I went out and drove around town, to check things out, will post some pics soon, but mostly so far, just some storm surge, in all the usual places.

As for now, it just got upgraded to hurricane strength, and all is well so far. I have a 16kWh whole house generator, with a 250 gal. propane tank hooked to it, which will run for at least 7 days, so I'm good there.

Pretty much just sitting here riding things out right now. 0006 and a few others will most likely get it worse than me, it's heading away from me now, pretty much heading straight for him.....hang in there brotha!!!

830pm CDT....still holding up here......just finished bottling some beers for an upcoming comp. Aside from a little wind, you'd almost not even know there was a hurricane 80 miles away. Heaviest rains yet are starting to come down..... finally starting to feel like we are in a hurricane.

Hang in there 0006....it's heading your way!!!!

I'm in Tampa where the rnc canceled their first day for the storm and schools were canceled but we hardly had any rain. Hope it doesn't damage anyone else too badly.

Hey asshats, I'm still here for now :asshat:

This has to be the slowest fucking storm evar! I planned on popping an adderall tonight so I could stay up and watch the carnage, but it looks like we won't get hit until tomorrow.

I'll try and update ya'll as much as I can, we've been through worse, but these fucking things can spin off tornadoes which throws a chaos factor in. Also, as slow as this shit is, we may get over a foot of rain really quick (I don't have flood insurance  )

On a brighter note, I have a generator so my food, and more importantly, my beer, will be fine. (as long as my brewery doesn't fucking flood)

I built my hop trellisses to fold down for picking/hurricanes

and my yard has been cleared of 18 chairs, 2 tables, awning over hot tub, + countless other things that took forever to stash.
