My favorite line from a scientific article was from Lima and Dill 1989. "Few failures, however, are as unforgiving as the failure to avoid a predator: being killed greatly decreases future fitness." Quite the understatement!

Police took a report from a caller who said he had seen a man with dark, curly hair. The caller said that he had been instructed by police to call if he saw a man with dark, curly hair.

The cops must be having their annual scavenger hunt.

A bunch of kids were playing on a 25th Avenue playground unsupervised. A woman who wanted the children quieted down thought if they were supervised they wouldn't be so noisy.

A man thought a bobcat was under his Magenta Road porch. Also, his cat was missing, which he thought could be related.

I have nothing to do with this. Promise.

And just for Dirk...
Smoke coming from a house on Kelly Canyon Road was from a burn barrel.

A caller said someone is getting into the caller's trash at night and scattering it about.

Yeah, someone. It couldn't possibly be a dog, raccoon, bear... all of which we have plenty of.

A man left a municipal courtroom after the judge said he would be going to jail.

??? ... and in other 'news' a car left the McDonald's parking lot after receiving their drive-thru order.
