Just thought I'd chime in and say "Hello."
I've been really enjoying the archives after stumbling across TBN a couple weeks back.
I'm very impressed by the production value of the show! Well done Justin and gang.
I'm working right now on finishing the first phase of my AG system, so I can, hopefully, brew later this month.
The show and the info it has supplied has inspired me to get done and get brewing.

Hey Rob, welcome to the forum. So you're from Renton? There are two things I really like about that town. One of my best friends lives there (also a homebrewer) and the other is the Whistle Stop Alehouse. Don't ask me which I like best

Yes, I've lived in Renton the last four years. I grew up in Seattle. The Whistle Stop is a great place. Nice selections of micros on tap. They moved recently across the street to a bigger building. Now they can serve brunch, lunch and dinner as well.
Another place you might want to try if you haven't already is Giant's Causeway. It's a Irish pub not too far from the Whistle Stop that also serves good beer. It's actually in what use to be the Cedar River Brewery. However it closed about 8-10 years ago. Pity, they made good beer.
I wish another brew pub would open down here.
If you really want to try a wide selections of micros have your friend take you up to Cooper's Ale House in Seattle.
So, does your friend work at Boeing?

Never been to Cooper's. I like Hale's, Maritime Pacific and Big Time tho'. My buddy works for a company in Seattle that does the promotions and marketing for Nintendo here in the States. His wife designs Starbucks stores.

Those are great beers. Maritime is one of my favorites. At there brew pub it's all cast conditioned on tap.
Another great beer to try when your back up here is Mac n' Jack's. I had a keg of their amber at my birthday in July. They have an IPA I've yet to try.
This Pliny the Elder has really peaked my interest after hearing about it on TBN. I wish they would send some this way.

Hope to make to that for some Maritime. I imagine your friend will be there.
Interesting jobs your friends have. I've photographed both Starbucks and Nintendo PR events and annual meetings for the wire services in the past.

Oh, Pliny is good stuff, OK. I have been known to bring home a keg of it from Beer, Beer & More Beer now and then.

Yeah, my buddy Brian has always had cool jobs. He and I met when the band I was a roadie for hired him as crew back in 1980 or so. I ended up getting married and settling down, he ended up going on the road with all kinds of bands. The bastard
