Blurry Christmas: A Dinder to be Remembered

Hey Y'all,

I figured I'd start this up since it's an opportunity to cook, eat, use our brews and spread some love. I'm planning to do a Pheasant & a Tri Tip on the smoker with alder wood, then finished/loved up with some sweet porter glaze & crisped up on the grill. Being that I'm fortunate enough to be in the epicenter of Dungeness Crab, and t'is the season... I'm also going to beer steam a couple of those bad bwoys, drown them in Harissa Butter, put 'em on ice for tonight & then slow smoke them with some Alder tomorrow to warm 'em up while the other meats rest before serving.

What is everyone cooking up for Xmas? I'm ready to be jealous! I brought some of of my homebrew & infusions down to my folks place to complement the meal and put the winter warm on our evening. Old standby red ale will make an appearance, as will my take on our beloved Bugeater's winter warmer that I named Billie Holiday Ale in rememberance of our lovely lady vocalist of Jazz.

Happy Holidays, y'all...do tell!

This year I plan to roast a Christmas goose that I brined using the homebrew chef's beer brine recipe. I used Sierra Nevada Pale ale for the beer, and it made for an awesome brine. Merry Christmas to all you :asshat:'s It has been a great 2nd year hanging out and learning from you guys/gals.
