Fruit Beer Bread

Mon Aug 27, 2007 5:03 pm

2 c self rising flour
1 c sugar (or less to taste....experiment)
12 oz fruit beer (Better if you brewed it)
1 tsp Baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 c berries to match the beer, blue, rasp, etc.... (optional, but good)
butter
spices to taset...I like to add cinnamon and clove to my blueberry bread

Mix everyting but the berries until very smooth, then add berries carefully to avoid breaking them. Grease loaf pan with butter and pour in batter (it will be wet, not like bread dough). I like to top the wet batter with brown sugar, some turbinado sugar for crunch and a few berries.

Bake at 350 for about 45 min

Everyone likes beer....some people just don't know it yet.
