easiest meatballs EVER

Thu Jan 31, 2008 12:25 pm

You can make them from scratch of just buy them frozen. I get the frozen Italian meatballs and they turn out amazing. Best way to cook is the good old crock-pot.

1-2 green peppers
1 onion
1-2 cloves of garlic
2 cans/bottles of pineapple sauce. (Over here, it's right next to the plum sauce for eggrolls at the grocery store, they look the same)
Couple of pounds of meatballs.
whatever amount of beer you want

Cut those peppers in good sized chunks. Dice the onions up, fairly small. Crush the garlic up into a fine paste. Now this is where it gets complicated.
Dump all the meatballs in the crock-pot, dump all your diced peppers, onion and garlic along with the pineapple sauce, enough to cover the meatballs. Set on low for 5-6 hours. Did you get that? I can send pictures?
8)

Serve the meatballs alone or with rice/pasta.

*** I tried without the garlic and it's very good. Garlic is always good because you're surrounded by men watching the Super Bowl and there's always that weird one in the corner that likes figure skating. Keeps him far from you.

Dude, your balls sound tasty!

Might be a good meal idea for next week. Is this like a caribbean recipe or just something you concocted?

Well, most people I know overcook their ''balls'' so this is the best way to keep them nice and tender. I just looked in the fridge one day after a few pints and decided to try it. Worked out great.
enjoy.
