Hey folks, I've been absent for a bit now, which blows. Been looking for new living arrangements for the past couple months. Finally found a great place in Oakland with an epic garden with fruit trees, raised beds and a garage to set up the new brewery...I'm pumped!

Today I'm brewing the final batch here on Hancock Street, so long SF! Just put the wort to boil, doing a 5 gallon batch of Saison with all Sorachi Ace hops...hello summer!

Northern Brewer (the hop) Pale Ale.
Drinking a Columbus IPA.

I brewed my first Saison on Sunday June 2nd 2013. I mashed too high about 155 F, don't need that much body for a Saison plus the pre boil gravity was way too high 1.056. OG was of course too high as well 1.084. The style isn't supposed to be any higher than 1.065 for the OG.

I'm doing it for a competition, entry is due in September. The White Labs Saison II WLP566 yeast took off right away at room temp, still bubbling away.
Fermenting: Black IPA, Barley Wine, Cider and Imperial Stout

Future man crush: Maybe Jamil or Doc
