getting all my ducks in a row to brew up another batch of saison tomorrow afternoon.
Should be a little different since I've raised up a nice amount of Dupont saison yeast from some bottle dregs I got a week or so ago.
Bottled: fresh hop pale ale
On tap: Moose bile strong ale
In the cellar: Taqu'il's Fat Black Imperial Stout
Lagering:
In the fermenter: Moose drool clone
In the works: Taqu'il's Fat Black Imperial stout

Zesting took 5-10 minutes per orange, if anybody else was wondering.

That wort smelled pretty amazing. Can't wait to try the finished product!

Brewed a DIPA on Saturday. Hopped with Mosaic, Apollo, and Cascade. Brew day took a little longer than planned. Had flow issues on my mash recirc...maybe time for some rice hulls? Also ended up with more wort than planned, which was lower gravity than desired. Quick fix: boiled an extra 30 mins before first hop addition. It's now fermenting away at 67F in my temp controlled fridge after pitching a 2L starter of WLP090. OG: 1.084 Double dry hop planned with all three hops.

I'm brewing right now.
Making Janet's Brown Ale.

First time I have ever done a mash hop. We'll see if it is any good. :) (and by that I mean...we'll see if I can do it justice)

In the final sacc step of a buckwheat/bulgur wheat/flaked barley saison. Wanted to give the Lallemand Belle Saison yeast a try. I haven't used a dry yeast for years and I was feeling just lazy enough this week to not want to mess with a starter and just cheap enough to not want to let a freebee go to waste.

VERRY long mash though, but I'm blasting ZZ Top's Complete Studio Albums box set, so it kind of cancels out. Loving Friday night brewing!
