Pale Malt (2 Row) or Maris Otter in Imperial Porter?

I have a fairly complex grist bill for an Imperial Porter and wonder if there would be any benefit (to taste) by using Maris Otter instead of Pale Malt (2 Row).

Nope. Too many other things going in. You won't be able to tell the difference.
Use the cheaper costing malt based on what you can get.

Yeah, I was leaning in that direction :) The difference is about $10 for this 6 gallon batch.

Agreed with Bdawg on this one. But a nice alternative (a kind of in the middle malt between MO and regular American 2 row) to consider is Golden Promise. It is a bit cleaner than MO, but fuller tasting than plain old american 2 row.
