My no boil Mr. Beer came out okay until I keg hopped it for too long. I used 2 cans of the American Ale w 4G bottled water and dry hopped w 1 oz if cascade. It wasn't bad and had a good head but had no APA flavor it aroma so I keg hopped it w 3 oz hops- 2oz Amarillo and 1oz cascade. This improved the flavor until I for lazy and left the hop sack in the keg for 2 weeks. No grassy or vegetal hop flavors but tasted like the cotton hop/grain steeping sack. Should've used the women's nylon stockings instead. It was a fun experiment but I probably won't try it again because all grain is cheaper. Afterwards, I did do a Mr. beer dry stout with 1 pound of dry extract and a half ounce of East Kent Goldings added to boost it a little bit. It tastes pretty good. if I were to do it again I would steep a couple of ounces of roasted barley or chocolate malt just add to the fresh roast character of the beer. I pitched one smack pack of 1056 into a 1.047 OG wort. I did a 15 minute boil on the stout and it came out a lot better than the no boil pale ale. Again the no boil pale ale was a fun experiment but probably not something I will do again in the near future. All grain is cheaper and tastes better.

Sure is expensive. I think it was $23 for the single can of extract plus I used US-05 instead of what it came with.

Anyone know which of the episodes was the tasty VS doc witbier challenge? I want to go back as a reference and don't remember which one it was.
