goldmine!

Holyfuckingshitballs!!!

I can't believe I didn't find the archives of the Jamil Show till just now! It's like a goldmine of homebrewing! Downloading about six of them right now. I always heard "the jamil show" and thought that was just the codename for CYBI I didn't realize they probably just ran out of styles or something and decided to switch it up just recently. So I always just saw the first page of shows and they were CYBI, I decided to go back further and holy shit! Pages and pages and hours of hours of styles, fuck yeah!

those shows are awesome. When I had the time (if i missed it live like I usually do) I would listen to the style show right before I would brew the recipe and get some extra tips on fermentation and yeast and/or inside info about the beer to be brewed. It really helps you to dial in on the style and recipe as you brew it! Have fun!

Fucking aye! I'm like "does EVERYBODY know about this?!?!?!" I'm honestly not big on cloning so CYBI doesn't get me REALLY going (may change when a brew pops up that I have and I'm sure i'll listen to more of it) but I've just made my first brew TO a style with the help of a buddy in homebrew club. An RIS that's fucking awesome. Now I'm hooked and am stoked to listen to Jamil talk about it.. then I was thinking oh maybe I'll just do a bunch of imperials..how about an imperial ipa..well shit I'll get that one too.. Ooh I had a bock I really liked the full body.. friggin aye.. on and on and on. That's a great idea btw listen to it before brewing. That'd make a good "I thought I had everything ready but I forgot to clean xyz and of course I need to sanitize, get my mash water to temp and maybe buy some beer if I have none on tap oh I'll listen to this for an hour" type thing. Over the several days I've loaded up the blackberry with brewstrong and just listening to and from work and on lunch breaks, fucking aye its great. NOW I need to order my merch I keep slacking on it... I've got how to brew and classic styles on the way!

Quality tapers off a bit as they get comfortable on the radio and move they recording time to the evening. By show third show on a recording day they are pretty lit. I wonder if the first Cider show is still out there... That was a gem worthy of :unicornrainbow: .

I would have thought you were given CD's with all of the old shows in your sponsorship package.

p.s. Listen to the first cider show:

That'd be cool but I can just as easily download the archives to my blackberry from the archives as it'd be to rip em from CD to the blackberry. I will listen to that one for sure. I like that when I walk into my day job I can wear headphones listening.. serves two purposes

1 - I get to listen to the kickass shows
2 - People dont fuckin' bug me when I have headphones in :P
