I was just wondering what the Initial Magnum hop addition was for this beer. When Jamil was reading the ingredients he said 60min magnum hop addition T 60min. Just wanted to know what the magnum addition was.

I caught this as well. I calculated 19 grams of 13.4 AA% magnums based on the recipe IBUs and the info the brewer gave out during the interview.

I was wondering about the 60 minute addition amount as well. Doesn't 19 Grams (0.7 ounce) @ 60 minutes seem like a too small amount for a pale ale?

19 grams (0.7 oz) of 13.4% AA @ 60 minute? That doesn't seem like enough for a pale ale

That calculates out to about 34 IBUs using Rager for an low gravity APA/XPA. How bitter do you want it to be?

I guess your right! :D BJCP says 30 to 45 IBU's. I didn't think about the high %AA level just the relatively small mass of the 1st hop addition.
