Theobrew will be hitting up the Mardi Gras this year!

If anyone has any suggestions on Beers I need to try while I'm there let me know. I already plan on visiting the Abita factory.

Also if there are any BNers that live in the area or who will be visiting mardi gras to hit me up in a PM and lets meet up!

The Abita brew pub in Abita Springs is great! Planning another stop there on the way back from NHC.

Beer is not really highlighted in New Orleans, Abita is about the best I have there other than that I was not very impressed. Tried a few different ones the several times I have been and they were just ok apparently not good enough for me to remember the names lol

They are known more for cheap liquor than beer

I agree, New Orleans is not a beer mecca. I have visited 10 times and the best beer bars are DBA and Bulldog. Both are outside the Quarter but are worth the trip. In the Quarter you will find BMC and Abita.

Even subpar beer is better than a lot of the boobs there. Yes, there is no bad boob but some of them could leave their shirts on.

That being said, I could easily stick to Turbodog for the entirety of the trip.

Yea I kinda knew that the beer scene might not be the best. But I didn't know if there were any good beer bars I should hit up.

Most of all I wanted to meet up with any BNers who live in the area or will be there for mardi gras as well.

I'd still rather see them, regardless of 'quality' :D

Well... I do have a couple of lines I won't cross.
