Walk-In Cooler

Putting together a home brewery this summer. The building is going to be about 25x25. I'm building in a walk-in, thinking 6x6 or so. Found a few forums elsewhere discussing the use of residential ACs. Would like to investigate this more. Want it done right, but on the cheap. If anyone has done this or has seen any good literature on the subject, I the would be grateful. I live in Oregon @ 2000', thinking that the climate is a factor to consider w/ such a set up.

i built one. Some two by fers, insulation, pink board, and an a/c unit, and youve got a walk in cooler. It was a lot easier than i thought, but i also do a little construction work on the side, but its all pretty simple.

Finished one up last fall. Like Crut said, not too tough to do. I used the cement walls of my basement for three of the walls and built the fourth. I only ran one layer of 1" pink foam for the time being. I want to see how well it holds the cold before I decide to go with more. So far ,of course this is winter time in NY, it has been 30-48F. I expect to put in another layer when the summer hits.

What make and model of AC did you use? Do you know how often it cycles on/off? The construction of the cooler isn't as much of a concern to me as the functioning of an AC unit.
