What's the height from the ground to your kettle ball-valve? Is it high enough off the ground to poor directly into a fermentor? I've been using a Corny as a fermentor, and I need to lift my kettle onto a table so its higher than the approx. 25" corny height.

I don't know the exact measurement, but I have filled a corny keg from the ball valve. No problem man.

I've always said that when I pony up I want a flat horizontal pump fed system, but that one's pretty slick looking.

Yes, that's the system I won from Morebeer's Brew Sculpture giveaway. Back when I was dreaming of a system, I thought the flat systems and tippy dump systems looked slick as shit. Now that I have the gravity system, I wouldn't want it any other way. If you are talking more than 10 gallons, then gravity wouldn't work, but it's great for 5 and 10 gallon systems.

I highly recommend the B3 1000 gravity brew sculpture! You can add a pump if you want, but aren't dependent on it working. The mash tun is at a good height for mashing in, stirring the mash and emptying the grains out at the end. It is definitely worth considering....

Why does gravity stop working above 10 gallons?

Gravity still works above 10 gallons, but the kettles get taller, so you may have to stand on a ladder to mash in or to empty your mash tun. Most people think ladders are the downfall of gravity systems. The B3 gravity Brew Sculptures are designed so you can brew without needing to climb on a ladder.
