Make beer in 7 days....or so they say

Tue Apr 12, 2011 8:56 am

Anyone seen this yet? http://www.williamswarn.com/

They claim to be able to make perfectly clear / carbonated beer in 7 days...looks like extract only and I'm sure it can't crank out barley wines or sours in a week , but in the video they put the malt extract and yeast in at the same time....how the heck does that work? Are they skipping the boil somehow?

Their motto is "without compromise". HAAAA!

I'd imagine you could make a bunch of low gravity AG beers in about a week by cold crashing and force carbing by shaking the keg.

I just turned a best bitter around in 6 days. It'll probably be a week or two before it's at its best, but low gravity beer + healthy, flocculant yeast + no dry hop = ready quickly.

sounds like you could do allgrain and then use this for fermentation and serving...

Just watched the video. I'm not sure this is a great system. They only pasteurize, they never boil. I'm not sure if the water might have too much / too little oxygen. That said, for simplicity sake, this is the easiest one I've seen yet, but at the same time, offers you the least control.
