Mylo, so what you are saying is dont worry about the return to the fermenter?
Refering to my picture above, I should remove the tube that I use to return the fermenting wort, put an airlock on it instead. Should I place the collection tube in the fermenter right on top of the yeast in it or should I just have the tube on my carboy cap and let it go up that way?

Yep, just put an airlock in the top of the collection vessel. You can put a sanitized cane just underneath the brown crud, and above the beer line to collect your yeast. Otherwise you have to wait for it to blow off (or not...)

Mylo, I did this last night with the IPA I made, I was happy to see lots of my little yeastie buddies in the bottom of the jar. Also, I was looking at the link you have for that chiller. Man, that thing looks OFFICIAL! Nicely done. Cute little keg, too! Nicely done, now I gotta scrounge up some more dough and build that sucker! So many projects, so little time and $$$!
