Water Filter...

Have any of you tried filtering warm/hot water with that carbon block from B3? I used it for the first time yesterday and it added approximately 40 minutes to my brew day, as my hot water comes out 80F higher than my cold.

As an aside, my wife pointed out this would be a stupid idea. Draining 15 gallons of hot water from our heater would probably mean there'd be no hot water for the house anyway. So- back to the longer brew day and filtering the water cold.

You can always set it up and leave it and/or do something else. Multitasking my friend!

Besides, depending on how you have your system, you can heat the water as it fills.
