My HLT is a keggle that I cut the top to match a lid I found at a local restaurant supply store. For my BK keggle, I just use aluminum foil to go around where the immersion chiller goes in. I suppose I could buy another one of those restaurant lids and cut a notch in it. Hmmmm ...
Aging: Gotlandsdrickå, Baltic Porter in Bourbon barrel, Olde Ale #2 in whiskey barrel
On Draft: Nothing. Building a walk-in cooler right now.

I throw my lid on until I get up to a boil just to make things happen faster... Gotta pay attention though!

Because it'll let the OP read up on why (and how) Dimethyl sulfide will affect his beer and how to address it and, of course, it relates directly to his question abut kettle covers

If you would have read the OP's responses, he is well aware of DMS and is not seeking to use the lid during boil, only while cooling the wort to keep the wort clean.

If you take what I post here literally, you're retarded. I'm here to fuck around, have a good time, and learn about beer. You mean nothing to me and I mean nothing to you.

Forgive me for not reading the whole thread - - I rarely do.

Individual lids can be ordered from online houses like

It's been said, but a lid (unless you custom-cut it) isn't going to seal around tubing like aluminum foil will.
