Anybody know about these thermistors?

I found these online and have some questions. http://www.embeddedcontrolconcepts.com/index.php/products/temperature-probes/itp-610k.html. As the website has almost no information about them I was hoping to get some help from you guys. I am looking to put them into converted kegs. There is no information about the wiring of these sensors. I want to use them in conjunction with a Ranco. Is it possible to use an M8 type connector, stereo audio jack or the cheap pin-type connectors from Radio Shack? Does anybody see any drawbacks to these thermistors? Also, is it detrimental to the Ranco to use it as a thermometer? By this I mean have it running but not controlling anything.

Rancos have a very specific thermistor value. If you want some replacement thermistors for a Ranco, then check out brewershardware.com. My factory probe died after two years in gel. They have all different lengths, specifically sold as replacements for Ranco probes, all with a 1/4" OD, so you can use a compression fitting in your kettle. There are two conductors in the wire, so you can use whatever (indexed) quick disconnect you prefer.

Whoops. Never mind. I was thinking about my own Dallas sensors that have three wires. My QDs have a key on them to help me line them up, kinda like the pin on an S video or old school keyboard/mouse connection.

Since the thermistor is just two wire, and is not polarity sensitive, your connector doesn't need to be keyed or indexed.

What do you think of using these as connectors? I am thinking of flush mounting the male connector, if space in the ETC allows, in a Ranco and using the females on the different temp probes and using the probes you can get from Brewers Hardware. To insert the probes into the vessels I am going to use drilled out compression fittings and replace the ferrules with Buna-N O-rings.
