Moving out of the kitchen....

Finally, the day has come, where I have moved out of the kitchen. A buddy had a turkey fryer stand that he traded me for providing 2 kegs for his sons b-day party. He gave me the propane tank, too.
Super cool. Now on to the next piece of equipment, a big-ass wort chiller.....

Especially if it's a fryer that he hasn't used in a while, make sure you check all the hoses, visually and bubble test before putting flame to it! Congrats on the set up... on day I'll live somewhere that I can do that too...

It is a fryer setup that he used one time. Everything about this thing is shiny. The hose is even shiny. He kept it stored in the garage since Thanksgiving. Total score! Plus, I get to drink the beer that he wants, so it is a win-win situation.

Brewed outside today. BBQ'd burgers, too. Sure is nice to be able to do this shit outside now. Stupid winter.

I am wondering if I can put it over the flame or not to eliminate transfering sparge water from kettle to HLT, which is this things function, as of yet. Anybody ever seen anything like this? I dont know if there is anything in between the inner and outer chambers of it. Or is it just air in between? Hmmmm. I am thinking about putting a valve on it. I guess drilling it would be the best way to find out, huh?

Only one problem with moving outside... the house doesn't get the great smells. even my wife loves that smell.
