Woke up this morning to find my fermentation fridge busted and my digital temperature controller blank as a blind person's stare. After ranting and raving and trying to fix both of them, I put my hefe in a swamp cooler which has kept the temps fairly well in the low 60's.

Time to go spend some more money on my favorite hobby....besides sex of course.....!!

Any idea what caused it? Surge in power killing both units?

Do you use a surge protector or similar?

did not have a surge protector on this one but I do on my other temp controller and fridge. Guess its time to stop rolling the dice and get another one.

Just went out and bought a nice chest freezer to replace my crappy fermentation fridge so at least I feel better today...
