I just went out to the brew coop to check my kegs and they are fine. Those holes in the lip are weep holes so water and stuff can drain out of them. I would guess a few people around there had to change their shorts after that deal.

thanks for the info i need to check my kegs , it looks like that was not the first time that keg had been used.

Wow. I didn't realize I was famous. That was my keg that exploded. I'm the "brewer with hearing loss" in the picasa photo album link above. I keep the shrapnel on my desk at work (I have scars on my leg where it cut me). The mangled turkey fryer is mounted in my brewing buddy's garage.
