I take crumpled newspaper, stuff it in a plastic grocery bag, tie it off and flatten it some, and use these to line the inside next to the cardboard. The bubble wrapped and bagged bottles go in the center.

Whenever I ship I just use whatever box the last order arrived in. I'm a big proponent of lining the box with a plastic bag first, like putting in a fresh trash bag. With the bag rolled over the outside I put down the bottom padding, the bubble-wrapped bottles, top padding & tie off my liner bag. That way even if one leaks from a bad cap, there's no evidence on the outside of the box that would make the shipper think twice about what's inside. I've heard stories of them confiscating 'suspicious' packages.

Working at the LHBS, I have unlimited access to sturdy boxes of various sizes. If you are in good with your local, they likely have lots of spare boxes that either get broken down and recycled, or put out for whoever needs them.

Beer Gun or the Tasty Method (Tubing on a cobra tap). Depends on how many bottles.
