For a few years now I have pestered all my local friends for their used 375ml Russian River and Lost Abbey bottles. During those same years I've also pestered my buddy Tom at Rebel Brewer to figure out a way to get those bottles. A few months ago I got wind Vinnie and Tomme were moving the bottle production for this style to a company in North America. I was able to get Tom in contact with that company and now my LHBS will be the first shop to carry the "Vinnie" style bottle! These are the exact same awesome cage/corked ones Russian River and Lost Abbey use.

Awesome. I was considering ordering a pallet of them and selling them myself if another shop didn't pick them up

Do you use a wine corker to plug these? Not sure how that works.

Floor wine corkers generally work best for Belgian style bottling. The corks are much wider than a standard wine cork, which gives the mushroom effect at the top. A floor corker has greater leverage for compressing the cork, as well as more easily adjustable to have it stop halfway to leave cork exposed. You'll also need the hooded cages and a wire twister.

I use a Colonna Capper/Corker. Much less expansive then a floor corker, and will also do regular bottles.

Yes, forgot about the Colonna. The Portuguese corker doesn't let you cap though, so if you are looking for an all purpose corker/capper, the colonna may be the way to go. The Italian floor corker (which starts at $135) can cap too, but you have to buy the adapter, which is another $25.
