Imperial Stout "No carbonation yet"

Hi all,
I brewed an Imperial stout with a ABV of 10.2. I primed the 5 gallon batch with 6 ounces of maple syrup, this was a little more than the brewers calculator said to use. The bottles have been conditioning for two months and no carbonation has started yet.

Thanks
Rick

How are you storing them? They need to be around 70F in order to carbonate in a reasonable time.
A common mistake is putting them on the basement floor. Concrete will suck the heat right out of them.

What yeast strain did you use? Was it a fresh pitch (starter) or a reused slurry?

I do have them stored on the basement floor, I can correct that tonight! I used two Wyeast Labs 1056 direct pitch pouches. the basement temperature is between 67 and 70 degrees so I'll move the bottles to a warmer place.

Between 70 & 75 is fine. Keep them in the dark & off the floor.

Post back if they don't carbonate after warming them up for a couple more weeks. The same thing happened to me once with a big RIS when I used to bottle. I can give you some tips on how to salvage them.
