Party Gyle question

Sun Oct 16, 2011 8:09 pm

So I am doing my 1st PG this weekend and I based the recipe off of JP's westy 6 clone and a Golden Strong.
The westy 6 is
10# Belgian PIlsner
1# Munich
0.6# table sugar

The Golden Strong is
11# Belgian Pilsner
3# table sugar

Also from the articles I read adding a little extra grain over and above what the recipe calls for helps to ensure there is no over sparing. So I will also add 2.5 # of wheat. My plan is to mix all the base grain and the wheat, and then when I have run off the strong beer to cap off with the Munich and run off the clone. Does this sound like it will work?

The Golden strong is from BCS, and the other one is from JP. I have never done a belgian before but I will adjust the sugar if I need to.
