Hear, hear!

I propose an official addition to the Brewers Code. "#2 - Always brew any recipe Bugeater posts."

Yeah, I kinda figured that would be the case, but when I heard the category for this one, this is the first beer that popped into my head. You should come out to the tasting. I'd love to hear your impression of my version. :)

If you come up with a spare guest ticket, I'll take you up on that.

Welp, I just got the email today. My version of your beer made it on to the final round this coming Sunday. We'll see how it's received by the public. The only real change I made was I fermented it on an ounce of heavy toast french oak and then aged it for about a month on another ounce of the same oak. I'm going to call the beer "Stolen Cookie Ale" in deference to the fact that I'm using your recipe.

I'm looking forward to trying it. I will be there serving beer for a member of our club who can't make it to serve his own beer.

I put my Winter Warmerized Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Amber in the fridge to carbonate. I tasted it at kegging, Wayne, and I will be damned if it didn't taste exactly like an oatmeal raisin cookie. Can't wait to see what it tastes like carbonated and cold.

I made this a couple of weeks ago; it is still sitting in secondary after adding the inverted sugar. Lazy brewer that I am, I did not put the spices in the bourbon until last night. Any guesses how the minimum time I should leave them to steep? I guess I should have started them steeping on brew day, so they would have 2 weeks but will 2 days work almost as well?
What's on tap: Cream Ale, Imperial Blonde
Secondary: British Amber,
Primary: APA

I really don't know. Myself, I would at least let it go until the weekend. That would give you plenty of time to dose the keg a little at a time and sample until you get the right amount of the bourbon added to the beer.

I plan to do this beer again sometime this fall. This time I am going to try using some rum instead of bourbon. I will probably use either Captain Morgan or Sailor Jerry.
