Just listened to the (Shafly???) show where the brewer suggested butternut and hubbard instead of pumpkin.

I prefer butternut over pumpkin in cooking. I have used it in beer before and enjoyed the results. Probably going to use a blend of the two. I am not sure what Hubbard is.

Hubbard is kinda green-grayish... but they claimed that was what canned pumpkin actually is...
