De Dolle Oerbier Special Reserva

Thu Aug 05, 2010 7:54 am

I'm not BJCPed, but this beer is quite delicious. A Flanders-Soured, and Oak Aged version of their Belgian Strong Dark Ale - Oerbier. What I would call a perfectly balanced malty sourness. A nice brown, hint of red hue. The classic Belgium thick quarter inch of sustained foamy head. Fruitiness. I hate it when beers have the sour aroma and dont deliver on the taste, this one delivers!

I say A+

I love this beer as well. I am in the process of tracking down vintages I have yet to enjoy.
