Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale

Thu Feb 10, 2011 6:27 pm

I found 24oz bottles of Sierra Nevada 2010 Celebration Ale for $2.99. I guess they're trying to get rid of the last few bottles.

Anyway, I found that this beer was very similar to their Pale Ale. The only notable difference (to me) was the color. I find the Pale Ale to be to be more of a light amber color and this was a darker color. Probably from a Crystal 60 or 80. The crystal flavor definitely came through.

The hop character was a bit more subdued, but still strong enough to be indicative of Sierra Nevada.

Overall, I really liked it.
