Favorite Craft Brews

Fri Feb 11, 2011 9:23 pm

My husband is turning 30 and I wanted to get him a great selection of beer for the night. I was thinking I would get 5 6 packs and 5 larger singles (1 pt 6 oz size). He loves hoppy beers and of course those with higher alcohol content. We freqinetly drink Dogfish, Stone and, Victory. Any other ideas you guys have would be great. Thanks so much!

I would suggest a couple beers from Moylan's . Try the Hopsickle and the Kilt Lifter. Russian River Blind Pig and Pliny the Elder are also great hoppy beers. Almost anything from North Coast is wonderful, my favorites being Old Rasputin, Pranqster, and Old Stock Ale.

Hope this leads you in the right direction.

I love when anybody surprises me with a beer I haven't tried.

If you see Bear Republic's Racer 5 IPA and Hop Rod Rye PA, I tried them recently and thought thay were great. Also Ballast Point makes a IIPA called Sculpen that is fantastic!

Two questions:

Where do you live? This will affect which beers you can readily get a hold of...

When is his birthday? This may give you time to track them down...
