I haven't tried Newcastle Brown Ale in awhile, so I decided to give it a review.

Anybody else get that club soda taste from Newcastle Brown?

Yes, but too long ago for me to compare. I plan on trying it out from a can while this bottled taste is still fresh on my mind.

It does usually help if it is fresh before you get it in the can.

I find it quite mediocre. There are a lot of very good (and a few great) brown ales you can get in the US that aren't imported from overseas in a clear bottle. Thus I don't bother with newcastle unless perhaps I'm in a casino where it's the only moderately drinkable beer available (i.e. the MGM around 2006).

I love Newcastle at its best. It's finding it at its best that's the issue.
