NHC 1st round just around the corner

Wed Apr 15, 2009 5:59 am

I just wanted to wish all my fellow BNer's best of luck for the first round of NHC. Most regions are going on this weekend. I've got a bunch of entries in.

I think the BN is going to bring it strong this year... When a lot of us are there in June, it's going to be great to cheer on our brewing brothas and sistas (we have a few, don't we?).

:bnarmy: Good luck, peeps! :bnarmy:

The pacific northwest region fruit beer category is mine, yes, in your faces. don't be jealous of my fruit beer skills. it's the only beer I entered, so I have pretend like it's the shit. I know fruit beer is the most prestigious category ever. I hope I at least get a certificate since this is my first ever entry into any comp. The only problem is the carbonation, it's a chokecherry dubbel, and I filled the bottles directly from the keg tap. its carbonated fine for a regular beer, but if they're judging it as a dubbel, its probably a little low. hopefully carbonation isnt a huge portion of the score.

Good luck to all.

I think the northeast judging has already concluded, but we've got to wait for our results until all the :asshat: other regions get around to theirs. Reminds me of BN Community Brew #2.

I hope the rest of you didn't wait til early March to brew for NHC like I did. Well, at least there won't be too much time for them to oxidize.

Bring it strong BN - I'm looking forward to seeing many soldiers at the podium in Oakland.
