Re: BN Booth at Club night call for volunteers

Minimally I am bringing three kegs (15 gallons total): an alt, kolsch, and California Common, perhaps one more if I have time, so maybe 20 gallons. I am thinking of filling a large plastic trash bucket half way with ice, and placing the kegs inside it, drilling a drainage hole for the disposal of waste water. I liken this to a large bottling bucket. Plastic does not resist heat transfer very well, so I could thermally insulate it. Any suggestions on what I could use?

Do you think this is a good enough solution?

Real question is, does it really matter?

It's piece of mind. I want to serve the best beer possible and allowing them to warm to room temperature or to the super heated temperatures in a car makes me feel uncomfortable.

I can appreciate that. Bought a filtering system last week since I can't really let it settle out in time

+1 filtering is great. We started doing it a couple of months ago and never looked back. It has made our beers much more stable and clear

We are going to up the ante on getting people to donate beer. We are making 7 of these. My brother and I are each going to keep 1. So that leaves 5. I will give 1 handle to each of the top 2 people who donate the most beer, excluding me and my brother. Then I will put everyone name in an :asshat: , including the top 2 who already won a tap handle, and raffle off the last 3. So you could win up to 2 of these bad boys

give one away to the best beer brought :pop
