After Action Report:

Great turnout, and great beer.
We served cybi clones for Arrogant Bastard, Terrapin Wake 'n bake stout, Nogne Porter, and Union Jack; and the featured beer was Bugs Oatmeal Rasin cookie, which was our only keg to blow. EDIT: The Terrapin keg blew as well. We had commercial bottles of each to compare each of the clones to- I had the Arrogant Bastard and Terrapin as cloned.

Our VIP session beer was an Oaked Arrogant Bastard clone.

Tom (twoskis) brewed "Mockingbird" for a special release at 4:20. It was an amazing Imperial Black Agave Wheat. Did i get that right Tom?

As they mentioned, Bug had his Wee Heavy and barley wine while Tom had bottles of a couple different things available for those wearing BN gear or that knew the password. I didn't try all of them, but Bugs Wee Heavy and Tom's Imperial Rye Tripel were both fantastic.

Handed out a lot of business cards and temporary tattoos; a bunch of people were interested and said they would be checking the BN out. There were several hop grenades spotted in the crowd.

Bug, I have your :asshat:.

The calm before the storm. The 1-hour VIP session for the lucky 100.

Things in full swing. Sold out crowd, I believe they capped ticket sales at 1000.

Nice After action report... I'll uploads some of our pictures to share tonight. I honestly thought all of our beers were excellent whether cloned or not.

Anyone thinking of making the Wake N' Bake clone, that recipe is solid! That keg did blow right at the end. I'm making another batch next weekend per Mrs. Larkin's request :D

I will get some photos uploaded to the blog as well.

Here is the detail of how it got shut down because we saw it all happen.

First, dumbass got so drunk he shit himself and was unresponsive and had snot coming out of his nose so they called the EMTs. They showed up and the rent a cops got all tough clearing the way to get the guy out and were challenging guys. Insert drunks with big mouths and rent a cops with attitude and the cops had these fellas faces buried in the carpet and thrown through doors. After it all was under control the cops told the ballroom owner to shut it down. Then the owner of the bar that was putting it on tried to reason with the cops and they threatened to have him arrested. It was ludicrous and unfortunate that it happened and I think that next year they will not be at this location again and they told me they will hire their own private security so they don't have to deal with those guys again.

other than that mishap it was a great fest. Thanks to all that came to the blog booth and introduced yourself, it was good putting names to faces. Thanks for buying merch. it will help out a ton!!

I will say this because no one is saying it yet. The BN booth, the SOB booth and the Railroaders booth had the consistently longest lines of the event. They showed well, even with bug behind the taps. Larkin's GF or wife didn't hurt the booth any though, nice work Larkin!

I had a great time as well, lots of great beers and it was great fun talking beer the the probrewers and BNers in Omaha.

It does suck that the night was cut short by a couple of douchebags looking for a cheap drunk that don't know how to handle their alcohol. Probably just as well because I was wasted by the end of the night :D

The BN crew had lots of great beers. My favorite was the Terrapin Wake N' Bake. Awesome beer, Larkin hit it out of the park. Twoski's had an awesome Black Imperial Wheat served through a randall. Both Arrogant Bastard beers by Tom were very good as well, but not quite cloned. I am kind of a hard ass on that beer and agree with Tasty that the recipe isn't quite right. The Union Jack was quite good alson. I don't think I had a bad beer all night and my hangover the next day would agree. The BN crew represtented strong. Hope to see some of you guys in Lincoln for BeerQuest on Sunday!

Won't be there for beerquest because yet again, didn't place. I am not sure I will ever enter that thing again, very disheartening.

Join the club. The afterparty for the brewers is always fun, at least.

Hard for me to pull off living 3 hours away though, so I have only made it once.

Yellow Columbia, I was wondering where the asshat went. I was looking all over for it on Sunday. I'll get it back from you one of these days.

I have an issue with the pictures. You didn't post a picture of Larkin's wife. She is just a bit prettier than I am. :)

Had a great time there. I did have one bad beer though. Sam Adams had a wee heavy. They added so much peated malt to the damned thing, it should be entered in competitions as a smoked beer. It was nasty. :(
