I'll be listing the Brewing Network for my three entries this year.

Excuse me? Physical meetings? I'm sorry, but I have a BIG problem with this group of invisible internet friends (most of whom have never met) calling themselves a legitimate homebrew club. Shouldn't be allowed, IMHO.

OK. Bring it.

My bricks and mortar club has over 100 members, most of whom I have never met, and I go to over half of the meetings.

As for entering NHC as a club, the "clubs with members living thousands of miles apart" cherry was popped long ago.

How many TBN homebrew club meetings you been to? None, 'cuz there ain't any. Not a club.

But seriously folks, will Nate, Shat, and Doc or will they be helping DOZE to defend. Probably.

I gotta help DOZE defend the title! Back to Justin's point on the show last year when this questions was raised, he made the comment that people entering under the BN often do so because they're in an area with no club, and otherwise don't really have any group or club to enter under. And that he didn't want the BN to win in part because a group of people jump ship to make that happen. It will happen naturally on its own and that would be the best way to see it happen. I also agree with Tasty that the BN doesn't really need help from any of us to take the title..

Good points and this gives me pause. I guess I would be a ship jumper (only because I appreciate the BN and want to offer other than monetary support). I would hate for the inevitable BN win to be soiled. I checked out the show where Justin talked about this and am now reconsidering. I definitely still want the BN to win and will be clapping the loudest when it happens.

Any thoughts? Do those people who are BN members only with no other club want those of us with dual loyalty jumping in?

I just registered 4 beers for NHC entry under the Brewing Network ... and don't feel one bit ashamed of it! Go BN Army!

If you want to enter the BN as your club, then go for it. And I'd go all out this year because if the BN gets second or even better First place, you can be sure there's going to be a lot of whining and they'll probably change the rules.

I've got 3 under the BN. I have 2 clubs near me ( Brew Free or Die and Concord Area Homebrewers ) but I am not a member of either. Too many conflicts with schedules to attend meetings and with The BN, I can drink all I want at the meetings and all I have to do is stumble across the hall to go to bed. :drink
