Agreed- Amoroso rolls are what makes a cheesesteak. There's a place here in Seattle that flies them in from Philly and they taste just as good as when I lived there.

Geeze they have to be some expensive steaks. But they'd be worth it.

Sarcones has the best bread. Amoroso is okay in a pinch.

Not a fan of whiz, myself... ends up in the beard. Give me provolone, maybe some grilled on/mush/pep if I'm feeling like it.

I hate whiz also, and I hate the gimick of wit or witout ordering lingo. Provolone is one of the only cheeses that I like.

I like Sarcones rolls for my Hoagies and Amoros for my steaks.


People are also leaving out some of the best food in philly, kielbasa/hot sausage, and the most heart clogging food, German Butter Cake.

Basically any German or polish food it fantastic.

Butter Cake is really good.
