Last night I had my first Boulevard Bourbon Barrel Quad. Tasted like a weak JD and water. Tonight I'm drinking my first Boulevard Imperial Stout and thinking the bourbon flavor is way less than I'd expect after last nights whiskey a go-go. I was thinking the bourbon character was just a hair too light, but good but not enough barrel complexity. DOH! Read the bottle: only 10% of the batch is aged in barrels and no mention of bourbon.
