That blows. At least they could try and get them up a few days before Longshot closes so I can enter my beers that don't advance over there.

Brad,
Just because a beer didn't advance in the AHA National first round doesn't at all mean it can't win BOS at the Longshot. (Like my DIPA for instance, it didn't advance that year nor did my Amber Ale which came in fourth) The categories are large in the first round and the pallets can get fatigued. Sure, the feedback CAN be relevent in deciding what beers to send to the Longshot but I wouldn't let that be the only criteria. Especially since the Longshot beers are judged a month later.
I'll be mailing the West scoresheets tomorrow. (It's the moral thing to do.) When you get yours Thursday, sit down with a two ounce pour of each beer in some reasonable tasting sequence and read the judges comments. If you agree with the faults and the score, you may consider not sending it. But if you're not getting it, then invest the zero dollar entry fee and drop some bottles off at MoreBeer. Even you would look good on that Longshot label. Hey. that's what they said to me!
Good luck Wezil,
Tasty

I hope its not like last year where the west region was posted the day after judging and the northeast was posted two days before 2nd round entries were due.
looks like they changed their format.....we all find out together May 1st - 8th

The West region finished judging at 4:30PM on 4/19 and the AHA had our results by 8:30PM because we did not have an onsite internet connection. West entrants are receiving their scoresheets today. So our status would more accurately be described as DONE AND DELIVERED!![]()
