Abacast Client On an PDA

Thu Aug 24, 2006 3:06 am

Is it possible to get the Brewing network stream to work on a windows based PDA with media player 9 on it.

Wanted to know if anyone else had got it working, cos then i can go mobile and still listen to the streams.

At the moment I use it to listen to the archives.

Cheers BrotherhoodBrew but with Windows Mobile Media player it just comes up as an invalid file

Ozbrewer I did find some software that lets you stream more files to Windows Media Player via an add on. So I might give it a go now I know you had had it working at some point.

I just tried it on my wireless PDA, it rocks. Now I can listen live while I move around the house, or brew on the patio. Very clear sound, no buffering.

Comes through really nice and clear and is more reliable that Windows media player on the PC or on the PDA. If you do have any problems with buffering which I dont, you can extend buffering to sort that out.

Also means I dont have to drag a laptop outside to the brew house just my pda. Which is a smaller target to drop wort on!

Mort player is what I use to listen to all the Brewcasts, so its nice it does both now.
