Don't give up hope looking for a room, I know some people that have reservations, and are rooming with others, but are holding on until the last minute to release their reservation, so there will be some rooms available coming up.

I actually just read some reviews on the Town and Country and it sounds like sort of a dump. There is Marriott just down the road that I can book for almost the same price when I use some points.

For anyone else looking I would recommended checking out the all your options. The hotel hosting the NHC conference is on one of those airport roads where they just line up the hotels. There are a bunch less than half or even 1/4 mile from the place.

I guess it depends on what you're looking to get out of the conference... (ie: if you're one of those in bed by 10pm, up at 6am folks it might not matter) but having been to the last couple, I wouldn't stay anywhere but the host hotel.

+1 Chaz. The only people I've known to be happy staying at the hotel across the street or whatever are people who leave club night and pro night half an hour before they end and go to sleep. NTTAWWT.

I'm still under 100 so I like the after parties, and those ain't at the hotel across the street.

I read the same thing about the T&C on tripAdvisor, but the problem about going to some other hotel is that the T&C is a huge complex. Even though you'll be a 1/4 mile from the place you are looking at quite a hike back to your room. There was a thread about this on some other booking a hotel on hotel circle, mostly about how far the hotels are from each other.

As for looking for a room, try posting something on the AHA forum.

I booked a room a the conference hotel, but it looks like I'm not making it.

If someone wants to PM me, we can transfer the reservation to their name (and credit card!)

Are you looking for a room, or will a room mate suffice? I have a room with double beds that I am currently the only occupent in.
