I know, I know. Lot os people hate the idea of using CPVC in RIMS systems, and love them as manifolds for sparging. I was tired of waiting for my company to get me the stainless fittings, as I have moved to a straight thread JIC system for ease of disassembly and cleaning. So I bought some USA made CPVC. Ran the first batch last wweekend. All went well. I just had to be a little more careful to make sure I did not stop flowing mash liquid or run the RIMS tube dry. The PID temp feedback loop does a good job as a 'safety' if liquid is present.
I just could not wait to brew!!!
