Just cracked my first bottle of a Hop in The Dark clone attempt.
Well, the base beer is great, but it's not Hop in the Dark because the hop aroma is almost non existent.
This was also my first attempt at dry hopping. I had three ozs of whole leaf, in a paint strainer bag with glass weights in my plastic bucket for 7 days. I clearly did not put enough weight in the bag, because it never sunk.
Next time I'll use pellets and forget about the bag.

I followed that up with a bottle of cloned DFH Raison Detre. This is definitely a good autumn/winter beer.

I found a bottle shop that had a couple offerings from Goose Island. Tried the Sofie, a wild yeast Belgian ale.
Also tried a Hermitage Single Hopped IPA, Ahtanum. I'm in love.

our liquor store had Sophie, Matilda, and Pepe Nero until recently. I was the only one that bought any. they took it all away. I really liked the Pepe Nero.

Just finished a pint of a imperial porter Brichards and I brewed. Now I am onto Lagunitas 13 Anniversary.
