Just had a Tallgrass Oasis with lunch at the pub, sitting next to the chief of police.
After a nap, Im going back to my local for a firkin of Odells IPA with cherries with--the chief of police! He wants me to bring him some homebrew. Pretty darn nice guy.
What a weird world!

After a frustrating few days, I am trying the Lakefront Luther - Helles Rauchbier Lager. A little too thin and too much meaty smoke flavor for my taste. Don't think I can finish the bomber, but it is still beer, so life is good.

Enjoying a first attempt at brewing a Kolsch! , 1.048 start and 1.007 finish at 55 degrees fermentation temp. I tried to keep it simple for the grain bill pilsner malt and a bit of Vienna for a small splash of character. Cheers All!
